Budget Com is a UK call service with exceptionally cheap rates to many countries. They are an over-ride provider, so you use your existing phone with the Budgetcom access numbers to make cheap international phone calls. No need to set up an account as you are billed through your existing service provider’s invoice, such as BT or NTL.
The service is only available from United Kingdom telephones (including mobiles). All access numbers are published on the Budgetcom website, so simply look up the access number for the country that you want to call, dial that access number, followed by the international number. It’s as simple as that and there is no account to set up, you just dial.
Only to be used when dialling internationally from the UK or to mobile phones within the UK - it’s cheaper to use your regular service if you want to make national calls.
Occasionally the access numbers are changed because of price changes, so keep a check on the website every now and then as you may be able to access even cheaper rates.
Budgetcom call rates
The international call rates are very cheap, for example you can call Australia for 0.5p per minute (at the time of writing) by dialing this access number: 0844 200 40 40. That’s a one hour call to Australia for 30p.
Calls are billed by the second, which helps to save you even more money as many call services round up the cost of a call to the next minute. However, there is a minimum charge of 5p for every call, but that’s all; there are no other fees such as connection charges and the rates quoted on their website include VAT.
If your service provider is a company other than BT or NTL, you need to check first what the connection fee will be to access the Budgetcom network.

You can use Budetcom to dial from a mobile phone but it’s safer to check first with your mobile service provider exactly what you will be charged for the connecting call to the Budgetcom network as you may incur a surcharge.
