Dial Abroad is a cheap call provider with services in the UK, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Ireland and the USA. Dial over 100 countries for as little as 1.5p per minute. In the UK and Spain you don’t need an account or to prepay simply use the access numbers and your calls are billed through your normal landline phone bill.
For all countries where DialAbroad has a service, except the UK and Spain, you must first purchase credit before you can make cheap international phone calls – you can do this easily online from their website. In the UK and Spain, DialAbroad lets you simply use their access numbers to dial and any call charges are included in your regular landline telephone bill.
DialAbroad Instant Service
In Spain and the UK you have the option of either buying credit first or using their Instant service. With the instant service you simply dial the access number provided on the website followed by your international phone number. There are several countries you can call using this service.
Cheap calls from Spain to the UK
I personally use this service to make cheap calls from Spain to the UK. The service works extremely well, call quality is good and all instructions are in English. For dialing from Spain to the UK the peak call rate is roughly half the cost of a normal Telefonica international call, with the off-peak rate at the time of writing being 4.03 cents per minute.
There are peak and off-peak call rates, the peak call time is from 0800 - 2000. You will be billed via your Telefonica invoice, and Telefonica charge a small connection fee for these calls which is 8.33 cents. You can make a second call and avoid another Telefonica connection fee just by pressing the hash key (#) twice rather than hanging up and re-dialing the access number.
The Dial Abroad website has useful information such as time differences between countries, and the rates are clearly stated on the website; you are also told what the rate will be in the message after dialing the access number.
Registration required? Yes, although not in the UK and Spain.

Dial from a mobile? Only from a UK mobile phone.
