FooCall is a cheap international calling service from your mobile phone. Keep your existing mobile device and mobile number and access cheap calling rates by registering at the FooCall website. There is no software to download and no pin numbers to remember. When you register you get 15 minutes free international call time.

To use the FooCall system you need an internet enabled mobile / cell phone. Once you have registered online, which is free, you can then login to the FooCall mobile website using your mobile phone browser. From there you enter the telephone number that you want to dial, however, when you hit the call button, the FooCall system dials a local telephone number first. That local number then connects you to the international number you first entered and you are connected using local call rates.

The FooCall website is nicely designed and easy to navigate and understand, it also includes video tutorials on how their system works and FooCall state that their level of call quality equals landline quality.

The call rates here are indeed very good value, for example, you can call an Australian landline from a mobile in the UK for 1.9p per minute (at the time of writing). You can call many countries around the world, but at the moment you can only use the FooCall service if you live in one of 20 countries that FooCall operates in, – but they are adding countries all the time.

You can currently dial from: Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and USA, but please do check the FooCall website for the latest additions.

FooCall is a UK based company and charges in £GBPs, but you can view calling rates in Euros and US Dollars too.

FooCall is great. You can now use it from your home phone and call from your computer too. I haven’t found any better rates from a service that is reliable either.
