Line2 is a second phone line for your iPhone or Android. It’s an app that works over 3G, WiFi or Cellular networks to give you cheaper calls. The extra line comes with unlimited voip calls and messaging to the US and Canada, cheap international call rates and up to 20 person conference calls.

The Line2 number doesn’t replace your existing number it runs in conjunction with it, so that you have two numbers on your mobile – literally two diallers. The Line2 dialler allows you to make calls over your cellular network or over the internet using the same number. This means you can reduce your cell phone bill, make calls even if you are in an area with poor reception, and have a private and business number on the one phone.
When you receive a call to your mobile, if the Line2 app is not open your call will be received on a cellular network, so even if someone calls your Line2 number and the app is not open you will still receive the call as it will be automatically forwarded to your mobile cellular number.
When receiving a voip call you have the option to answer the call, forward it to any other number or forward the call directly to voicemail. Once answered the call can be put on hold, transferred or added to another call to create conference calling.
Call waiting is a feature that the Line2 app has that other iPhone apps don’t have. If you receive a call on your Line2 number when you are already taking a call, you can switch between the two calls by putting one or the other on hold. You can even merge the two calls into a conference internet call.
If you’re on an internet call and a call comes through to your cellular iPhone number, your internet call will not be interrupted, so you have the choice of whether to take the new call or not.

Cost of Line2
After your 30 days free trial you must choose a subscription, but the basic subscription cost starts at $9.95 a month. The rates for international calls with Line2 are cheap, for example $0.02 per minute for calls to China, Italy, and the UK.
