Voip software with great rates and many countries absolutely free to call. Simply download the software, buy credits and make cheap international calls. The SmartVoip rates to India are very cheap, and comparing other rates including calls from the UK to Australia, the rates are among the cheapest I’ve found.
As with all Voip software, it’s free to call other members, but SmartVoip are very competitive on their calling rates. At the time of writing the free countries include Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal, parts of Russia, Slovak Republic, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, and USA.
You first have to buy credit in order to access the free calls, but this credit does not have an expiry date. There is no connection fee unless you use their phone-to-phone service, which initialises a call from your landline using voip technology.
The software is Windows only compatible.
Other services include cheap sms rates; a phone-to-phone service so that you can make calls from your landline by first setting up the call online; access numbers; and Voip mobile software for Nokia phones so that you can make cheap VoIP calls directly from your Nokia mobile / cell phone.
