Cheap phone call providers...

ZenoFon

• Use This Service To Call: Internationally.

ZenoFon is a USA based telephone service which lets you dial overseas numbers or US numbers using a local US number and therefore accessing cheaper rates. You can allocate up to 20 phone numbers, getting a local number for each one.

When you register you need to give the telephone numbers that you will be dialing from, for example, your home phone number and cell phone number. Then you can add your contacts – add up to 20 overseas or USA telephone numbers and they will each be allocated a local US phone number. You can then save these local numbers in your home or cell phone for easy dialing.

The ZenoFon website states that you can only join by referral from an existing member, however, you should be able to join by clicking the link at the bottom of this review, which acts as a referral.

Cheap Overseas Calls from the US

At the moment ZenoFon has local access numbers in 20 US cities (you can find a list of these cities on their website). Once you’ve tested the service and used up your free credit, you need to add more credit to your account to continue. You do this by logging into your account at their website and purchasing credit with a credit card.

You can check out the ZenoFon rates for calling within the USA and overseas at their website.

From your account page at the ZenoFon website you can manage your contacts, set up your profile and keep a check on your credit balance, view your calls and add credit. The website is nicely designed and easy to use.

Cheap Calls from Your Cell Phone

One of the best features is being able to use ZenoFon to dial directly from your cell phone. What’s more, if you configure ZenoFon using callback in your account setting to spoof your number, you won’t use up your minutes when calling from your cell. Effectively, this means you can use a prepaid cellphone and ZenoFon, and never use up your minutes!

ZenoFon Features

They have a useful email service which, among other things, will send you an email when your credit is getting low and if you’ve earned a commission. You can also choose to receive an email after every call which includes the call information and your credit balance. These services are optional, so you can choose which emails to receive.

The referral section gives you links and instructions on how to refer people in order to invite your friends and family and earn commission in the process.

This seems like a very good service for US residents as you can access cheaper calling rates directly from your home phone and your cell phone, without the need to dial access numbers or pin numbers.

Comments on ZenoFon

If you have a question or comment about ZenoFon please post it below.

Previously, Zenofon had local access numbers in more than 20 cities. These local access numbers were for people who didn’t have long distance, and wanted to access Zenofon’s discounted calling rates.

This is no longer the case. We replaced these 20 access numbers with one toll free number. This new toll-free number is (866) 257-5604.

What you do is dial this number and then hang up. Zenofon will call you back with the number you configured as your callback number as the caller-ID. This is useful for people who don’t want to pay USA long distance charges to access Zenofon.

Note: The call forwarding number series starting with 646 434 4612 has not changed. We have not made any changes to that dialing method.

Zenofon are giving all past and future customers who try their auto-recharge feature a free $10 credit. There is no purchase necessary to redeem the coupon, but you have to create a credit card profile for your Zenofon account, so you need a credit card to enroll.
