Vonage’s new mobile app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and Android lets you make free wi-fi calls or IM to your Facebook friends wherever they are in the world (that’s those Facebook friends that also have the app).

You can also make free calls over 3G/4G but that will use data minutes and therefore you may be charged by your mobile carrier.

The app shows you which Facebook friends are online and therefore available to contact. You can also send messages inviting friends who don’t already have the ‘Vonage Mobile for Facebook app’ to download it too.

Free to download and free to use, and means no more international roaming charges.
