The home phone service Ooma have just released an app for the iPhone which lets you make cheap mobile phone calls via the Ooma system directly from your iPhone.

You can make domestic calls and cheap international phone calls using wi-fi or 3G, and the app works on the iPod Touch and iPad as well.

Once you’ve set up an account with Ooma, you can save approximately 90% on the cost of mobile calls from your iPhone. The cost of the app is $9.99. If you open a Premier account you will receive 250 minutes of free call time within the U.S. every month. At the moment (July 2010) there is an offer to Premier customers when they also take the International Bundle, which give them 750 free minutes every month.
