GetDialing is a directory and review site of phone services worldwide and it’s compiled by Georgia Davey – an English woman who is, at the moment, settled in Barcelona, Spain.

With many friends and family living in different countries it was a necessity to find the cheapest most convenient way to phone internationally rather than to spend a small fortune on phone calls. And, it’s amazing how many services there are out there.

This directory was created in 2009 and lists many voip services – that’s what many people think of when they want to make a cheap or free phone call. However, there are services which let you call directly from your home phone and from your mobile. These days you can download voip applications to your mobile phone (mobile voip) and call overseas directly from your cell phone for a fraction of the cost, as well as calling other voip users on the same network for free. Yes, that’s free mobile phone calls anywhere in the world.

Phone services are listed by the country you are calling from

Use GetDialing.com to search for a service in your country – services are listed by the country in which they can be used. This is because many phone services are only available in certain countries although you can use them to call internationally. For example, Telediscount can only be used if you’re making a phone call from the UK. You can call many different countries using Telediscount, but it’s listed under the UK category.

Each individual service review clearly states which country or countries you can call when using that service.

Search by category…

If you want to find a service specifically for calling from a landline or mobile phone, you can. Just click on the relevant category: Landline, Mobile, Voip, Phone Cards. For example check out ways to make cheap mobile calls. There is even a category for making free phone calls.

How is it possible to make cheap calls?

Many of the cheap call providers give you access to VoIP technology from your landline or mobile phone. Often this is facilitated by using access numbers that you dial before the telephone number – your call is then re-routed to another telecommunications system (often VoIP) where you take advantage of the cheap call rates.

Are the reviews on this site independent?

All of the reviews of telecom services on GetDialing.com have been written impartially. Wherever possible each service is tested, but many cheap phone services are limited to certain countries and are therefore impossible to test unless you live in that country. That’s when feedback from GetDialing.com’s users comes in very helpful.

How does GetDialing.com make money?

Some of the links on this site are ‘affiliate links’. Affiliate links help this site to make some money and in no way affect the user. Affiliate programs are run by some companies to help generate customers. If a user clicks an affiliate link, the click is tracked and if that person then spends money at the destination site (by purchasing credit for a phone call, for example) then I receive a small percentage of that cost.

Call services are searched for and reviewed based on whether I think they are a good service to feature on the site. If an affiliate program is available for that service then it’s used. Services are not listed simply because they run an affiliate program. The majority of call services listed have no affiliate program.

GetDialing.com does not support spam, spyware or any other malicious software and does not knowingly link to any sites that do.
